VBS – Avoid command windows popping up
Problem: want to use objShell.Exec instead of objShell.Run yet avoid “flashing” command windows.
Solved: Create Click_me.cmd which contains cscript myScript.vbs

[Excel] Simple, useful scripts/macros
Collected and tested. I didn’t write any. Kudos to the experts.
Excel
I borrowed the handbook “The Spreadsheet at 25: The Evolution of the Invention that Changed the World” this morning because of its … small size. Turns out to be a pretty cool one about Excel. There are a few pages about Excel’s history, which I skimmed over cause ‘too stupid to appreciate its beauty and complexity’.
I just have a vague idea that I need to be grateful to … a series of people … dated back around 1850 when someone used rows and columns to describe an accouting system … then hallo to Lotus, Quattro Pro … er, lots of development till I have this Excel 2007 I love now.

Chỉnh vị trí subtitle cho Windows Movie Maker
Một trong những cái bất tiện của Windows Movie Maker là chức năng chỉnh subtitle của nó rất bèo. Hầu như không chỉnh vị trí được. Chiều nay mới học được 1 cách khá tiện lợi, làm mình thấy WMM dễ thương hơn một chút.
Cách làm:
(1) Tìm folder AddOnTFX tại C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX, không có thì tạo folder này
(2) Copy đoạn code sau vô Notepad, đặt tên file là SubFade.xml, bỏ file vào folder AddOnTFX vừa tạo

(3) Khởi động lại WMM, lúc nàyở mục One-line Titles có thêm 2 lựa chọn
Subtitle Right (fade in/out)
Subtitle Left (fade in/out)
Theo forum, có thể chỉnh số 0.85 thành các giá trị khác để điều chỉnh vị trí subtitle (vd: 0.70, 0.75, 0.80).
Nói chung để chữa cháy cho các yêu cầu subtitle đơn giản thì cách này quá tốt. À mà tui đang xài XP, không biết Vista hay các bản khác có khác gì không.
